Tips and Tricks

Our Rose Gold and Gold pieces are made to a very high standard. Our jewellery collections are designed and assembled by hand in Brisbane, Australia, from components we source from around the world.

We take great pride in the design and construction of each piece, so if there is a problem with your item, please contact us immediately so we can resolve it for you. Follow these guidelines to care for your Loving Label purchase so you can enjoy wearing them for many years to come.

Rose gold and gold plated pieces are delicate jewellery items. To decrease the chances of wearing out, here are a few easy tips to keep the lustre of your gold plated jewellery.

As it is a thin layer of gold, extra care should be taken to maximise its lifespan.

  1. After every use, clean your plated jewellery with the soft cloth provided to remove any dust and dirt it has acquired. Gently rubbing the surface of your gold plated items using your soft jewellery cloth also helps restore shine.

  2. If your jewellery needs more cleaning, you may clean it with warm, soapy water. Soak it for a few minutes and clean with a soft brush. Be sure it is completely dry before storing the jewellery again.

  3. Please note: Continuously exposing plated jewellery to water will cause the plating to disintegrate or wear off. No showering in your new earrings, please!

  4. Do not use a silver cloth or abrasive compounds, i.e. baking soda to clean gold plated jewellery.

  5. Avoid your Rose gold or gold plated jewellery coming into contact with perfume or perfumed lotions. The perfume will react with the plating and cause it to wear off.

  6. Avoid direct contact with water (salt or fresh), excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as chlorine, sulphur, detergent and lotion. Too much light, heat or moisture will deteriorate the quality of plating on the metal.

  7. To avoid scratches, wrap your jewellery in a soft cloth after cleaning or keep it in a jewellery box separate from other types of jewellery you have.

  8. Our pieces are delicate, and as such, we take no responsibility for careless wear or storage.

Just think of it this way, if you look after these beautiful new items in 20 or 30 years a special someone might want to borrow them from you for their big day.
